KRENOV INSPIRED CABINET

This was a piece that I designed while studying at RTC. The project was to create a piece that followed the style of one of the most influential cabinet makers of all time, James Krenov. It was my first attempt at using live edge (wood with it's natural edge) lumber. I find it brings life and a natural flow to my work. I now use this characteristic for a lot of my pieces. It features many hand crafted components that are often lacking in today's furniture. The dovetailed drawers, knobs and handles where all made using traditional hand tools.
It showcases that "rustic" can also be refined.
This was one of the most labour intensive pieces to date but also one of the most rewarding.
